Second phase date yet to be decidedCounselling for admission into various engineering colleges in the State is going on at the Government Polytechnic. The counselling is going on a brisk pace initially as the candidates are interested in joining ECE but now students are now grabbing whatever branch they could secure and many of them are willing to go to any place in the State for an engineering seat.
The candidates first choice is Visakhapatnam city and suburbs and the long standing colleges. The whole counselling process is taking nearly three hours on an average. A majority of the candidates came from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts.
There were some candidates from far away districts who sought admission into colleges in those district as the online admission facility enables candidates attend at any place. Nearly 610 candidates registered for admission on Monday. While the first phase of counselling will conclude on Wednesday, the second phase of counselling will yet to be decided according to official sources. Banks have opened counters on the premises to advance education loans to the candidates.
