July 25, 2002 The notification next phase of Admissions for Engineering and B.Pharmacy through EAMCET 2002 was released today. The counselling will begin from 9 Aug for BC/SC/ST/OC Categories. Vacancy positions are available online at http://eamcet.dte.gov.in or at http://eamcet.ap.nic.in July 15, 2002 The State Government of Andhra Pradesh is in considerations for taking 25% marks from Intermediate in EAMCET as weightage. Marks from Practicals and Theory are expected to be separately counted. A special note from the Government is yet to be issued. July 11, 2002 EAMCET authorities said that the counselling sessions till 25,000 ranks were competed by 11 July 2002. July 1, 2002 The counselling for Engineering courses through EAMCET 2002 rankers between 3000-5000 were completed. Out of the 2000 candidates called, only 1721 took admission in various courses. 760 got admitted in Hyderabad, 383 in Guntur, 135 in Warangal, 196 in Tirupati and 298 in Visakhapatnam. On the whole, out of the 5000 who were called for counselling, 4316 took admission. June 28, 2002 Engineering counsellings from 29 June The Counseling sessions for Engineering Courses will begin at JNTU Campus from 10:30 AM. The sessions will be formally inaugurated by Minister Sri Damodar Reddy. The Counseling will begin online from Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Warangal, Hyderabad and Tirupati Centers. May 20, 2002 Candidates who wish to get their OMR Sheets verified can opt for the option by paying Rs 500/- DD in favor of “Secretary, APSCHE” payable at Hyderabad and sent to the Convener, EAMCET 2002 before 4 July 2002. May 9, 2002 EAMCET 2002 results to be released with Ranks and Marks this year The EAMCET 2002 Committee met in Hyderabad to look into the pleas from the public in regard to EAMCET 2002 examinations. The committee decided that the ranks along with the marks will be published in the website and that ranks will be given based on few parameters - for example, if two students gets 195 marks, then the person with the highest marks in Mathematics will be declared first. Incase of a tie again, marks in Physics will be taken into account followed by marks in Chemistry and finally the Date of Birth of the candidate in case tie persists. The person who is more elder will be the first in case of ties in the first three cases. Apr 29, 2002 EAMCET 2002 Examination for admissions into Engineering and Medical colleges was held. This years exams were held without any problems. Mar 11, 2002 No Change in EAMCET 2002 dates The Convener of EAMCET 2002, Mr. KVAR Sharma reconfirmed that there will not be any change in the examination date. He said that unless the exams are held on April 29, the admissions work could not be completed by August end. Jan 24, 2002 The Notification for EAMCET 2002 was released by JNTU. As specified earlier, the entrance examination was scheduled to be held on 29 April 2002. The last receipt of the filled forms is 2 March 2002. Jan 17, 2002 Minister for Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. M Damodar Reddy said that the EAMCET 2002 Examination will be conducted on April 29, 2002. The notification for the same will be released on January 24, 2002 and that the Application forms will be available at all head post offices from January 31, 2002. The last date for the sale and receipt of application forms is March 2. Counselling sessions will be held between July 1 and August 15 and that classes are proposed to be beginning from September 1. This years EAMCET will be conducted by JNTU as like in the previous year. |
