CEEP 2007 goes online

Hall tickets at doorstep

Hyderabad, March 14, 2007

The Minister for Higher Education Pinnamaneni Venkateswara Rao launched the online system at Government Polytechnic on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said it would bring hall tickets to the doorstep of students, as they would be generated online. The entire process of filing of applications of Common Entrance Examination for Admission into Polytechnics has gone online.

He said in the last year 78,000 applications were received and the number would touch one lakh during this year for nearly 21,000 seats. The Principal Secretary, Education, Asuthosh Mishra said that the online system introduced by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) and hosted by NIC would make the application process simple.

SBTET director Rajendra Narendra Nimje said the system would reach the students though 1200 AP online, Rajiv internet kiosks, and 33 helpline centres of polytechnic. (www.ceep2007.com) He said that the students can also choose the examination centre of their convenience. A student can apply online either from home or internet cafe at the CEEP Website take a printout, fill the details with photograph and submit it at any helpline or AP online centre and get the hall ticket straightaway. The last date for submitting the application is April 13 and the CEEP will be held on April 22. The results are likely to be announced in the first week of May.
