Prohibitory orders near UPSC and DIET centres

Orders promulgated as a preventive measure

Visakhapatnam, May 18, 2007

In view of the UPSC's Civil Service Examination (Preliminary)-2007 that is going to be held on May 20 from 9.30am to 11.30am and 2.30pm to 4.30pm in the city, the administration has imposed prohibitory orders under section 144 in all the eight centres.

The East Sub-Division Assistant Commissioner of Police an executive magistrate C Ranga Reddy promulgated the orders as a precautionary measure to prevent any law and order problem. These orders will be in force from 8am to 5pm on the day of examination.

The orders would be in force within a radius of 200 meters from the examination centres. Similarly, section 144 will also be imposed at 19 centres where the DIET CET examinations will be held on the same day.
