Note: (i) Answer any two questions from Section I. Each question carries 20 marks.
(ii) Answer any four questions from Section II. Each question carries 10 marks.
(iii) Answer any four questions from Section III. Each question carries 5 marks.

SECTION I

Answer any two of the following questions in about 600 words each. 2x20=40

1. Briefly explain the consumer problems which gave impetus to the consumer movement in India.

2. Mention any six consumer responsibilities and discuss them in detail.

3. What is advertising ? Does it increase with the cost of production and prices ?

4. Are producers/sellers protecting the consumers in India in any way ? Explain with the help of examples.

SECTION II

Answer any four of the following questions in about 300 words each. 4x10=40

5. Define the following :
(a) Consumer
(b) Consumer education
(c) Consumer goods
(d) Consumer complaints

6. Describe any five influences that determine consumer buying motives.

7. Briefly explain the role of advertisements in consumer protection.

8. Give in brief the meaning, need and progress of eco-labelling in India.

9. Define Consumer Empowerment. What are the imptications of consumer empowerment in Indi a ?

10. "Monopoly is not necessrily detrimental to consurners." Discuss.

11. Enumerate any five laws of Consumer Protection in India and discuss any one in detail.

12. Give in detail the functions and imprtance of national and state level consumer fomms.

Write short notes on ony four of the following in about 100 words each. 4x5=20

13. Consumer Co-operatives can solve all consumer problems

14. What is the role of AGMARK in Consumer Protection

15. Prevention of Food Adulteration Act (PFA)

18. Environment-related consumer responsibilities
