Note : Attempt Any five questions. All questions carry equal marks.

1. Write short notes on any four of the following : (4x5=20)
(i) Types of Oral Expression
(ii) Self-esteem and learning language
(iii) Identifying and helping children with locomotor disability
(iv) Natural method of teaching letters of the alphabet
(v) Creative listening
(vi) Factors to be kept in mind while using grammar games

2. Describe the three stages in the history of education of the underprivileged. What is wrong with the current system of education for the underprivileged learner? (20)

3. What is the basic philosophy of the process based approach to the teaching of writing ? What is the teacher's role in a process writing class ? (20)

4. Describe various methods of constructing meaning through prediction in teaching reading comprehension. (20)

5. Discuss the various points a teacher has to keep in rnind while planning tasks for developing listening activities. Give examples of two listening activities that would be appropriate for your class. (20)

6. What are the methods of evaluating the writing skill ? Which one would you prefer? Why? (20)

7 . Compare and contrast Piaget's and Vygotsky's theories about how children learn. (20)
