1. Answer any one of the following in about 1200 words:

(a) Describe what programme evaluatlon is. What are the issues involved in it and how is it useful to course revision in distance education ?

(b) Design an appropriate strategy on the course transactional/delivery strategy in the discipline of your choice and explain the issues involved in its successful implementation.

2. Answer any four of the following in about 300 words each :

(a) Differentiate between the formative and summative evaluation

(b) Define the term "Curriculum" in your own words. Explain the criferia for selecting subject content for the course offered through distance education system.

(c) Describe how education and philosophy are inter-related.

(d) Curriculum is a "Plan of Action". Explain the statement in the context of distance education.

(e) Explain operational issues before developing and launching the course through distance education .

(f) Describe the 'Top down' and 'Bottorn up' approaches to curriculum design and development.

3. Answer any one of the following in about 1200 words :

(a) Explain Tyler rationale empirical analytic paradigm of curriculum with its strengths and wealmesses.

(b) Describe the essentials of curriculum and their importance in the study of curriculum.
