l. Answer any one of the following in about 1200 words :

(i) Critically analyse the needs of training of staff in Distance Education. Describe the skills and attributes of a distance teacher trainer.

(ii) Discuss the role of support staff in Distance Education system. What are the different strategles to impart training to them?

2. Answer any four of the following in about 300 words each:

(i) Discuss the factors affecting choice of training methods.

(ii) Explain the meaning of reflective approach to counsellor training.

(iii) Describe the linguistic skills that are necessary for distance teachers.

(iv) Discuss the use of 'role play' in training of academic counsellors.

(v) Discuss the need of formulating training objectivies. Give three examples of training objectives.

(vi) Describe how you can use teleconference to train the of study centres in Distance Education institutions.

3. Answer any one of the following in about 1200 words:

(i) Design a detailed training programme for course writers of Distance Education institutions. Justify your design for the choice of content, methodology and duration of the programme.

List the 'job descriptors' of at least two jobs in the Registrar's office in an Open University. Plan a training programme for one of these.
