Note : Answer all the questions.

I. Read the passage given below and answer the questions that follow:

Dolores worked in a shop selling gramophone records. One afternoon a middle aged woman came in and said, "I want a record, dear. The one I heard on the radio this morning."

"What is the record called ?" Dolores asked. The woman shook her head. "l don't remember. I should know it if I heard it, though. Perhaps if you play me a few records, I shall be able to pick it out."

She settled herself comfortably on a stool in front of the counter

''We have hundreds of records in stock," Dolores pointed out. "lt would take a very long time to play even a little of each. Could you hum it to me ?"

The woman shook her head again. "l can't even sing the National Anthem if I tried." Then suddenly her face brightened.

"l've just remembered something," she said. "lt comes from a play. There's a girl who speaks very badly. But after a time she learns to talk well."

This was enough for Dolores. "lt's from My Fair Lady," she said.

"That's it, dear. If you'd thought of it sooner, we wouldn't have wasted so much time, I suppose you are new to the job."

(a) State whether the following statements are True (T) or False (F): (5)
