1. Comment on any four of the following (5x4)
(i) Advance payment is the safest and ideal method of payment for the exporter. The duty exemption scheme enables cheaper import of inputs required for export production.
(iii) A number of export. documents can he prepared with the help of the master documents.
(iv) All exports to which the requirement of declaration applies must be declared on appropriate forms.
(v) Bill of entry is the basic document for customs clearance of import cargo.
2. Do you think that Electronic data Interchange System can bring significant benefits to organisations ? Discuss. Also explain the functions of Value Added Network Services.(20)
3. Explain the major legal implications of FOB and CTF contracts.(20)
4. What are the basic principles of ECGC operations ? Describe the procedure of obtaining as policy from ECGC alongwith the obligations of the policy holders.(20)
5. (a) Describe the mechanism of import financing under letter of credit arrangement.
(b) Explain as to how import finance can be obtained against hills under collection.(10+10)
6. Why customer clearance is needed ? Describe the procedural formalities involved in customs clearance of export cargo. (20)
7. Explain the procedure of refund of central excise duty under Rule 12(i)(A). (20)
8. Write notes on any two of the following : (10x2)
(i) Role of Export Import Bank of India
(ii) Bill of lading
(iii) Registration formalities for export business.
