Note : Attempt any five questions. All questions carry equal marks.

1. Deflne Public Relations, advertising, Publicity and Propaganda. Exa mine their similarities and differences. (20)

2. Discuss the role of appropriate language in Public Relations writing, with suitable examples of two stakeholders viz., employees and shareholders. (20)

3. Discuss the various traditional and new media for PR. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of these media. (20)

4. PR is an undervalued profession. Discuss this statement in view of the strides in the profession of PR in the last 15 years or so. (20)

5. What are the various stages of planning for a PR campaign? Describe each step in detail. (20)

6. Discuss various tools of Public Relations for external target audience. (20)

7. Describe the role of ethics in PR, giving appropriate illustrations. (20)

8. Most of the changes in media in the last two decades have been technology driven. Discuss how this can help PR in reaching out to its various publics more efficiently. (20)

9. The proliferation in electronic media has thrown immense opportunities for PR image build-up. Discuss giving some cases in point. (20)

10. Write short notes on any two of the following: 2x10:20
(i) Code of Athens
(ii) Organising Press Conference
(iii) Media Relations
(iv) PR and National Movement
