Note :Attempt any five questions. All questions carry equal marks

1. Organisation structure influences the division of the tasks, grouping of activities, coordinating the activities and the overall accomplishment of the tasks." In the light of this statement, discuss various connponents of organisation structure. (20)

2. (a) Describe the contingency approach to Organisation theory.

(b) Discuss the contemporary issues in Orgnisation theory (10+10)

3. What is perception? Explain various managerial uses of perception with suitable examples. (5+15)

4. Critically examine Maslow's need hierarchy theory of motivation. How does this theory differ with Herzberg's two factor theory? (12+8)

5. "People behave differently when they work in a group than when they work indvidually." Discuss and also explain the stages of development of a group. (10+10)

6. "ln an organisation, conflict must be resolved to restore high performance and optimal lavel of conflict." In the light of this statement explain the strategies for conflict resolution. (20)

7. (a) Do you think that people possessing informal power do not have positional power? Give reasons to support your answer.

(b) Explain the process of obtaining power in an organisation. (10+10)

8. What is organisational change ? Explairi the process of change in the organisation.

9. Write short notes on any two of the following: (10+10)
(i) Significance of organisation structure
(ii) Individual perspective of OB
(iii) Models of Man
(iv) Group cohesiveness
