SECTION I

Answer any two of the following questions in a maximum of 600 words each. Each question carries 15 marks. (2x15=30)

1. Explain the dominant features of State Politics in India.

2. Comment on Development as a source of Regional Disparities' taking instances from India.

3. Discuss Communal Politics in India today.

4. Write an essay on Autonomy Movements as they evolved through various phases/period

5. Write short notes on any two of the following in a maximum of 300 words each. Each note carries 5 marks. (2x5:10)

(c) Naxalite Movements in India
(d) Systematic Framework for Study of State Politics

SECTION III

6. Answer the following in a maximum of 500 words. (10)

Analyze the nature of water disputes in relation to Federalismin India.

How has State Politics been impacted by various land reforms and agrarian transformation measures introduced in independent India? Answer with instances.
