Three universities to start with and students can opt to exit

Hyderabad, December 2, 2006

The State Government has decided to introduce five year course in the three new universities started this year to enhance employment opportunities for students. The Vice Chancellors of the three universities have been asked to spell out their strategies and the courses that they will offer.

At a meeting organized by the State Council of Higher Education, the Vice chancellors of Adi Kavi Nannayya University, Yogi Vemana University and Telangana University have been asked to formulate the content and the courses in consultation with the industry to ensure the students get the due credits. Unlike earlier proposal, the students can exit from the five year course at the end of the three years and those who wish to complete the PG can continue the course. Students with 10+2 are eligible for the course.
