All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance examination (AIEEE) 2005
In compliance of the directive of Govt. of India, Deptt. Of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Deveolpment, the CBSE will be conducting the fourth All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance examination (AIEEE) for admission to degree level courses in Engineering and Architecture in, National Institutes of Technology, Deemed Universities and Institutions in the States/Uts other than those covered by Joint Entrance Examination/State Level Entrance Examination for paid or unpaid seats based on the score. Tentative list of participating institutions will be contained in the information bulletin for AIEEE 2005.

Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary-Class XII) examination or its equivalent referred to as a qualifying examination from a recognized Board/University for admission to B.E./B.Tech., B.Arch. & Planning courses as under:

The candidates appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE provisionally subject to their fulfilling the specified eligibility conditions at the time of appearing for counselling. Admission to AIEEE is meant for Indian nationals only.
Date of Birth: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1980 are eligible. In the case of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and Physically Handicapped candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by five years meaning thereby candidates born on or after October 01, 1975 are eligible. Age criteria for admission to Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune is that the candidates must be between 16 to 21 years of age as on July 01, 2005 provided they fulfil the mandatory requirements specified in the information Bulletin.

Sale of information Bulletin/ application form:
The information bulletin containing the application form and other details will be available for sale from 15.12.2004 to 31.01.2005 from designated branches of Syndicated Bank/other Banks/NITs/ Deemed Universities/ Institutions and the regional offices of CBSE. In addition to the cost of information bulletin the designated branches of Syndicate Bank or designated Institutions would charge Re.5/- extra as service/processing charges.
The information bulletin containing application form can also be had by post by sending a MICR bank draft of Rs.350/- for general category and Rs.200/- for SC/ST category (which includes Rs.50/- towards postal charges) alongwith a self-addressed envelope of the size “12 * 10” (without postage stamps) from the Joint Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Sadan, 17, Rouse Avenue, Institutional Area, near Bal Bhawan, New Delhi – 110002. The payment is to be made through demand draft in favor of the Secretary, CBSE, New Delhi . The candidate should write his/her name and address on the back of demand draft/pay order. However, the board will not be responsible if the forms are not available at any of the designated branches of Syndicate Bank/ other banks/ institutions specified in the information bulletin.
If a candidate fails to enclose a self-addressed envelope of the size of 12”x 10”, the CBSE shall not be held responsible for non-dispatch of the information bulletin/application form. Request for supply of application form by post, if required will not be entertained after 24.01.2005. The last date for receipt of complete applications in CBSE will be 04.02.2005. The applications would be received in the Board’s office only by Regd./Speed Post and not in person or through any private courier.

Online submission of application with photograph and signature on computer printed form generated and down loaded from the website and to be sent by registered/speed post (not by courier) to CBSE and payment of Rs.300/- for general category and Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates made by demand draft in favour of the Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi.
