The Entrance Test conducted for M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan candidates have Mathematics and Basic Engg. & Science as common parts and Part 3 meant for different disciplines. On evaluation the mean (m) marks and the standard deviation(s) of marks (raw marks) may vary from discipline to discipline under Part 3 to Part 15. Normalised marks are obtained using the formula: Normalised marks = 50 + (10/s) (raw marks – m). This gives the relative ranking of candidates in any discipline.
