Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow will be conducting State Entrance Examination (SEE) on 23rd & 24th April 2005 for candidates domiciled in U.P for admission to degree courses in Engineering / Pharmacy / Architecture / Hotel Management and Postgraduate courses MCA/MBA of state govt. aided and private institutions affiliated to U.P. Technical University along with other Universities in Uttar Pradesh in academic session 2005-06.

Scheme of Entrance Examination

The candidates opting for different courses will be required to undertake test in following papers on the dates specified:

24.04.05 – B.Pharm – 1 & 2 & 3 – Physics & Chemistry / Maths or Biology

24.04.05 – BArch – 2 & 6 – Maths / Aptitude Test (Arch)

Venue of Examination: At 21 cities of U.P along with Delhi, Roorkee and Dehradun

Eligibility

1. Candidates must have passed Intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University for admission to 1 st year of B.Tech / B.Pharm/B.Arch/ BHMCT as per subject prescribed by AICTE
2. Candidates must have passed 3 year degree course with Mathematics as one subject at 10+2 level or at degree level for admission to 1 st year of MCA and 3 year degree course in any discipline for admission to 1 st year to MBA
3. The Candidates must have passed Diploma course from Board of Technical Education, UP with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate for admission to 2 nd year of B.Tech / B.Pharm courses.
4. The NRI/PIOs/Foreign nationals / Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries will be admitted in few colleges and they are not required to appear in SEE but they are required to have requisite qualification as specified in Information brochure. They are to apply in prescribed form available at website www.uptu.nic.in upto 15 th May 2005 along with prescribed fee.
5. The candidates appearing in qualifying examination are eligibly to appear in SEE-2005 subject to condition that they will fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.

Cost of Brochure / OMR Application Form Inclusive of Exam. Fee:

Rs. 500.00 for general/OBC candidates & Rs. 300.00 for SC/ST candidates.

Sale of Information Brochure / Application Form:

The Information Brochure containing OMR application form will be available for sale in cash from 17.01.05 to 28.02.05 from all Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghars (MDGs) of UP. The Information Brochure and OMR application form can also be obtained by Post from Registrar, UP Technical University, IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow by sending a MICR bank draft of Rs. 550.00 for general/OBC and Rs. 350.00 for SC/ST candidates in favor of Finance Officer, UP Technical University, Lucknow along with two self-addressed stickers. The request for supply of application form by post will not be entertained after 18.02.05. The last date of receipt of OMR application form to Registrar, UP Technical University, Lucknow will be 28.02.05. The applications will be received in the University Office by Registered / Speed Post only.
