4.0. DETAILS OF QUESTION BOOKS AND ANSWER SHEETS
4.1. Syllabus
The Syllabus of the Second Year of Tamil Nadu State Board Higher Secondary Course in the concerned subjects will be followed for these examinations.
4.2. Duration, Question Book and Answer Sheet
Each examination will be of 3 hours duration and all the questions will be of objective type for papers 1 to 6. The number of questions and maximum marks for each paper are as follows:
Each Objective type question will have four alternate answers. The candidate is expected to attempt all the questions to secure the highest mark. In other words, there is no choice among the questions.
Each question book will have a unique serial number. The Candidate must specify the Question book serial number on the answer sheet by both writing and shading the appropriate boxes and ovals. The Question book serial number and the Answer Sheet serial number are not same then the answer sheet cannot be evaluated properly. This is very very important as the evaluation will be based on what the candidate specify on the answer sheet with regard to the Question Book Number. Any mistake committed in this regard may result in the answer sheet being evaluated against a different set of questions.
The candidate has to choose the correct answer and shade the corresponding oval in the answer sheet with either HB pencil or ball point pen ( blue or black ) for that question.
Wherever writing is involved use Ball point pen only.
The shaded information are captured by the scanner and the details are transferred to computer for evaluation. Even a small stray Pen/Pencil mark on the answer sheet will be captured by the scanner which may lead to wrong evaluation resulting in reduction of marks. When you wish to make changes in the answer, erase the original pencil shading completely and shade the new oval. Shade the oval fully so that number printed inside completely disappears. Improper shading and light shading are likely to be missed by the scanner which may result in reduction of marks.
If more than one oval is shaded for a question it will be treated as wrong answer.
The candidates will be permitted to take home the Question Book at the end of the Examinations,
The candidates are advised to shade the ovals with HB pencil as this will permit them to make changes if they so wish. If the candidate wishes to use ball point pen for shading he/she is advised to do it only after ascertaining the answer. Once shaded with ball point pen, alteration is not possible.
4.3 MALPRACTICE
The candidates who are indulging in various types of malpractices during the entrance examinations will be punished as per Anna University norms. The nature of malpractices and the corresponding punishments are as follows:-
