Entrance Examination Notification 2007

Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission into MBA (Marketing / Finance / HRM) & MCA courses through SDE for the academic year 2007-08 from fresh and in-service candidates. The number of seats are limited. Rule of reservations will be followed. However, ICET qualified candidates can seek admission directly without this test.

Eligibility for MBA

a) Candidates should have passed Bachelor's Degree in any faculty except BFA & BAOL of Andhra University or any other University recognized by Andhra University as equivalent with Maths as one of the subjects of study. The candidates with professional qualification like CA/ICWAI/ACS/AMIE/AIETE etc. are also eligibile.

b) The course is offered for fresh as well as in-service candidates. The course of study for MBA Program shall extend over a period of two academic years in case of in-service candidates and three years in case of fresh candidates. In-service candidates with a minimum of 2 yeas of work experience after graduation (qualifying examination) as on 1-7-2007 are also eligible for two year programme. However, the candidates with Ten years of experience after graduation can seek admission without test.

Eligibility for MCA

Candidates should have passed Bachelor's Degree in any faculty except BFA & BAOL of Andhra University or any other University recognized by Andhra University as equivalent thereto, besides passing intermediate or +2 examination with Maths as one of the subjects of study. The course of study for MCA Programme shall extend over a period of three Academic years.

Interested candidates may write to the undersigned by designation for application and prospectus by sending a DD for Rs. 250/- drawn in favor of Registrar, Andhra University payable at Visakhapatnam towards entrance test. They may also obtain the application and prospectus in person by paying Rs. 250/- at the cash counter of the School of Distance Education. The candidates has to write his/her name and address on the reverse side on the DD stating purpose. The application, filled in all respects should be sent to the Director, School of Distance Education on or before 16-08-2007. SBI Challans, Postal Orders or Money Orders will not be accepted.

Note: In-service candidates with M.Com/CA/ICWA/ACS/MA (Eco./Appl. Eco./MSc Statistics/MCA intending to join in two year MBA Programme will be given exemption in some papers. However, they are to qualify in Entrance Test.
