Industry oriented training for Andhra University Students

The Andhra University on Wednesday entered into a memorandum of understanding with Cognizant Technologies to provide industry oriented training to students in information technology. The AU Vice Chancellor, L Vengugopal Reddy and Cognizant Technologies representative Venkataraman Krishnan exchanged the signed documents at Andhra University College of Engineering.
According to MoU, Cognizant will sponsor programmes like technical symposium, cultural events and other events for Andhra University College of Engineering students. It will organize workshops and guest lectures involving experts from the industry to provide exposure to students. The third and forth year engineering students to enhance employability skills and prepare them for campus recruitment.
Andhra University College of Engineering Principal, Allam Apparao said that the engineering college has entered into similar MoU with companies like TCS and planning to rope in more companies to facilitate industry institute interaction as well as research activity.
