Hermac employees to be offered academic training leading to MPhil and PhD

The Andhra University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Heramec Limited, a Hyderabad based for collaboration in research, consultancy and student placement activities in the field of petroleum exploration. Heramec Limited is a licenced firm for petroleum exploration at about eight sites in the country.
The MoU was signed on Monday between the Delta Studies Institute of Andhra University and Heramec Limited for the next three years. The Delta Studies Institute will provide academic training as well as offer M.Phil and Ph.D programmes to the employees of Heramec Limited which in turn will assist the institute in providing industrial and placement to University students.
Under the MoU, Heramec Limited will offer placement to five M.Tech students every year for project work with a stipend of Rs.10,000 per month over a period of one year. The Vice Chancellor of AU, L Venugopal Reddy, Registrar P Vijaya Prakash, Heramec Limited executive director M Anand and other top officials were present.
