Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements

Candidates with an M. Phil. Degree in English from a recognized university OR Candidates who have completed the course work in the M.Phil. programme in English (ELT/Linguistics & Phonetics/English Literature) from CIEFL with a GPA of 3.00. Admission to the course will be made on the basis of a written test and an interview.

Residence Requirements

Sixteen weeks spread over two to three years with a minimum of 4 weeks a year. In the intervening periods the participant will be required to be in touch with the supervisor/course tutor(s) and do the required reading and submit a specified number of assignments/term papers. The dates for the mandatory residence periods will be fixed in consultation with the supervisor.

Dissertation work

Sixteen weeks spread over two to five years with a minimum of three weeks a year. The dates will be fixed in consultation with the supervisor.
