Prof. M Ganghadara Rao has taken charge as the first Vice Chancellor of newly formed GITAM University on Saturday. He held many important positions in Andhra University like Head of the Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Member of EC and Academic Senate etc., and joined GITAM as Director of its College of Management and helped it to secure 'A' grade from NAAC.
Prof. Gangadhar was awarded the Best Teacher Award from the Andhra Pradesh State Government in 1988. After assuming charge, he said that he would initiate steps to make GITAM University as one of the top ten universities in the country.
