Two colleges will be in the State Capital

The All India Council for Technical Education has given permission to eight new engineering colleges in the State and out of them two will be in Hyderabad. As a result, nearly 2,000 sets will be added to the existing number of 1.10 lakh. These colleges will be included in the second phase of counselling for admissions.
According to EAMCET camp officer Raghunath, thee has been a steady demand for all colleges. Students first preference was for University colleges and then the colleges that are closer to their native place. He said that all the colleges, including those in rural areas made admissions in varying numbers.
The government's announcement of reducing the qualifying mark much before the entrance examination ensued that more number of people qualified. The college managements too are optimistic of filling up good number of seats. That engineering graduates irrespective of their branch of specialization are getting good offers from the Information Technology and allied sectors is the main factor for many students taking a shot in engineering courses.
