Nearly 3 lakh students passed the examinations

The results of the Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Public Advanced Examinations for the first year were released on Sunday. Out of the 5.01 students who took part in the examination, nearly 3.07 lakh students have passed. Of them 1.20 lakh secured Grade A.
Among the students who passed, 82,851 students are non improvement category and 2.24 lakh are under improvement category. The cumulative pass percentage in the annual examination held in April and the advanced examinations is 62 percent.
In vocational stream, 19,926 students appeared for advanced supplementary examinations and of those 8,461 have passed and nearly 4,000 students have improved their performance compared to the earlier examinations. The Board Secretary said that the fee for recounting is Rs.100 per paper and Rs.600 per per for photocopy cum re-verification of answer books.
