Police Department and JNTU signs MoU

The Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner, N Sambasiva Rao speaking at 'Training of Trainers' programme for police personnel at Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering on Wednesday said that with the increasing use of computers in day to day life, basic computer education has become a necessity for effective functioning of police department.

He said that the police department itself with the latest technology to face future challenges and tackle anti social elements. The programme, conducted as part of the memorandum of understanding between the police department and the JNTU aims at training cops in information technology.

Visakhapatnam Range DIG Jitender, GVP secretary P Somaraju, Programme coordinator P Prapoorna roja and the Principal of GVPCOE NSVVSJ Gandhi were among the prominent persons present on the occasion.
