NTR University of Health Sciences - Medical Counselling from Tuesday

Counselling will be held at five centres simultaneously

The Counselling for admission into MBBS, BDS and other medical courses for the year 2007-08 will begin simultaneously at five centres across the State on Tuesday. The NTR Health University will coordinate the counselling. The Counselling centres are Osamina University Campus, PGRR Centre for Distance Education, JNTU, Kukatpally at Hyderabad, Andhra University at Visakhapatnam, NTR Health University at Vijayawada and SV University Old MBA building at Tirupati.

The Vice Chancellor of Dr.NTR university of Health Sciences, AV Krishnam Raju said that the counselling would be conducted for 2,860 MBBS seats and 1,073 BDS seats and there are 11 government and 14 private medial colleges offering MBBS course and two government and 15 private collages offering dental courses across the State. He said that in the first phase of counselling will be conducted for open competition seats in government and private medical college for all candidates having EAMCET ranks from 1 to 1000 and the counselling from 1001 to 2500 would be held on July 25 and for the rest of the rankers, it would be held on July 26.

The phase II and III counselling for those belonging to BC AND SC and ST categories from first 4000 ranks would be held on July 27. He added that the counselling for all groups in BC except 'E' and SC and ST candidates from 4001 to 12,000 would be held on July 28. The counselling for SC and ST Candidates would be held on July 29.
