Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements

M.Sc. Chemistry Bio Chemistry, Microbiology Botany, Zoology, Bio-technology, Physics, Home Science, M.Pharm/ M.E./ M.Tech / Chemical Technology.

For Full Time Course:

Candidates must have passed Master’s Degree of this University or any other recognized University in the concerned or related subject securing first or second class with not less 55% of marks in aggregate. However, in case of SC and ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% of marks is permitted.

For Part Time Course

For admission into research under part-time programme, a candidate has to satisfy the following conditions. 1. A teacher with at least 5/3/2 years of full-time teaching experjence in a recognized polytechnic or Junior College/Degree College or Oriental College/Professional or P.G. College respectively. 2. An employee possessing atleast 2 years of research experience in a cadre not lower than that of research assistant working in a research institution run by the State Government or Central Government or in a recognized institutions funded by organizations like UGC/ CSIR / CSSR / DST/DAE and such other agencies. Except national and State Govemment agencies, the other R & D agencies should obtain prior recognization by the University. 3. The service certificate issued by the Principal of the college is valid for computing the length of service for the admission into Part-time research course of the University. 4. The supporting staff of the Acharya Nagarjuna University are also eligible to do research under part-time for the award of M.PhiI/Ph.D. as per the existing norms of the Teachers.

For Extramural Research

The following are eligible for admission under extramural research: 1. A Gazetted officer with PG qualification and having 5 years experience. 2. A Junior Level Executive having PG qualification and 5 years experience in Public Limited Company or Quasi Government Organisation or Cooperative Organisation having a turnover of 5 crores. 3. The persons having prescribed qualifications at the PG Level may register as external research students of all the departments of Acharya Nagarjuna University by paying a fee of Rs.10,000/- per annum. This facility may be permitted to a person working in a recognized establishment where the necessary facilities to carryout research are available.
