182 students get placements

Speaking to media, the Secretary for Higher Education Christopher said that after conclusion of the Career Awareness and Recruitment Drive (CARD) that was conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) at Sri Venkateswara University that 182 students got placement in 13 major companies.
He said on Sunday that the main objective of the CARD is to create awareness among students about various job opportunities and preparing themselves for the global changes to a certain extent.
He further said that APSCHE is planning to set up 21st Century Gurukulam schools in each and every district in the State for the benefit of rural students. It has also been decided to set up IIIT centres covering 1,200 students every academic year. The Vice Chancellor S Jayarama Reddy said that the selected candidates were given job offer letters.
