University celebrating its Silver jubilee

Sri Padmavati Mahila University that is celebrating its Silver Jubilee is ready to give affiliation to women's degree and PG Colleges in the State. As per University Act, a university is a teaching and affiliating unit and it can give affiliation to any deserving college across the State and start PG centres said the Vice Chancellor of the University Veena Noble Das.
It was decided to issue a notification offering affiliation to women's colleges at an executive committee meeting held recently. The notification was issued and the response is a very good. Nearly 60 women colleges and PG colleges applied for the University affiliation. A committee constituted to scrutinize the applications for giving affiliation and short listed to 20 colleges and inspected the institutions. A detailed report was submitted to the Government and a final decision would be taken after government gives its approval.
The university is proposing to start new two PG centres, one in Telangana and other in Andhra region. The university is already a partner with Oxford University for 'Young Lives' is planning to sign an MoU with Texas University and University of Philadelphia on research projects. The Vice Chancellor said a proposal for starting an organic farming programme in the university lands.
