The Dr.VS Krishna Government College has been accorded permission to establish a Jawahar Knowledge Center (JKC) from this year. The college was one of the 11 Government Colleges in the State in which the JKCs were being established under a joint program initiated by the Commissioner of Collegiate Education of Andhra Pradesh and the Institute of Electronic Governance (IEG) of the State Government.
The objectives of the JKC are to promote the Government college industry interaction, development of HR skills through the process of group learning with the help of accelerated learning techniques and learning through mentor network, promotion of capacity in the I area, making citizens IT literates and proving good students for higher education. Cent percent campus placement at degree college is the main objective of the JKC.
