80 acres of land given to JNTU Engineering College

Admissions to five engineering branches already begun

Vizianagaram, August 14, 2007

The district administration has earmarked 80 acres of land to JNTU Engineering College campus at Dwarapudi. K Veerabhadra Swamy, MLA handed over the documents to the campus Special Officer V Ramachandra Raju in the presence of the District Collector B Kishore.

The District Collector, B Kishore said that 20 more acres would be assigned to the college after receiving approval from the government. Admissions to the five engineering branches with an intake of 60 candidates had already begun and classes would be held initially at APSRTC Regional Manager's Office building. He said the faulty from Kakinada and Anatapur would be deputed for conducting the classes.

JNTU Academic and Planning Director E Saibaba Reddy, Evaluation Director K Vijayakumar Reddy and others were present on the occasion.
