University of Delhi - Delhi University Admission forms program comes to an end

Over 1.32 lakh applications sold

Showcasing the demand for courses from the Delhi University, the Deputy Dean of Students' Welfare Gurpreet Singh Tuteja said that the University is able to sell as many as 4000 forms on the last day, the Friday. It may be recalled as many as 32,576 common pre-admission forms were sold from 17 information centers set up across the city of Delhi. At few places, such as the Kirori Mal College, the demand is so huge that the centres were out of forms in the middle.

On the whole, over 1.32 Lakh application forms were sold from centres setup all over the city and at special counters setup at various parts of the campus for this year.

Estimates say only 92,000 duly filled applications reached the admissions office. Some 11,486 were sold for the SC/ST category seats. 318 forms were sold under the Physically handicapped category.

About 43,000 seats in various undergraduate programs offered by the Campus and affiliated colleges of the Delhi University will be filled through the process. Most colleges have already begun rolling out the cut-off marks for the admission, a critical mark number that decides who will get the admission in the college in Delhi's most prestigious colleges.
