Duration of Course: Three year (Six-terms) full-time course
About the course
The course for the Degree of Bachelor of Laws shall extend over a period of 3 academic years, i.e. six Terms in all.
The medium of instruction and examination shall be English. A student has, however, a choice to take his examination in Hindi.
Instructions shall also include Seminars, Tutorial Work, Moot Courts and Practical Training Programmes.
There shall be one examination at the end of each Term, the academic year being divided into two Terms as may be approved by the Academic Council from time to time.
The examination shall consist of one written examination at the end of each Term in the courses prescribed. One paper shall be set in each of the courses prescribed for study and the examination in a paper shall be of three hours duration. Each course carries 100 marks.

Distinction - 75% & above
I Division - 60% & above
II Division - 50% & above
Pass percentage - 45
Admission Eligibility
Admissions are made through a common Entrance Test for all the three Law Centres i.e. Campus Law Centre, Law Centre-I & Law Centre-II.
Those candidates who fulfill the following requirements regarding educational qualification and age as mentioned in Prospectus for the particular year of admissioin are eligible to appear in the LL.B. Entrance Test, and be admitted to the LL.B. course :-
a)
All candidates having a Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognised as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.
The candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe with a Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi.
Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to the CW category.
Relaxation of upto 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to the PH category on the recommendations of the Medical Board.
Note :-
The candidate appearing in the qualifying degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are also eligible to appear in the Test provisionally but they cannot be considered for admission unless they produce at the time of admission proof of their having secured the above percentage of marks and other relevant documents as indicated in the prospectus.
Rounding of a fraction of marks is not allowed.
b) Minimum age requirement for Admission is 20 years on the date mentioned in the prospectus of the Faculty for the particular year of Admission.

Reservations:
The seats are reserved to the candidates under following categories only:
5% of total seats for SC (Schedule Caste) candidates and 7.5% seats for ST (Schedule Tribes) candidate are reserved which can be interchanged in case of non-availability of the candidates in any of these categories.
5% seats are reserved for CW (children/widows/wives of the officers and men of the armed forces including para-military personnel killed/disabled in action or those who died/were disabled in action or those who died/were disabled on duty).
3% for PH (physically handicapped) (1% for persons with low vision or blindness, 1% for hearing impaired.
1% of total seats are reserved for FN (foreign nationals) having qualifying degree from a foreign University. The candidates included in this category are exempt from appearing in the LL.B. Entrance Test.
Admission of Foreign Nationals:
The general rules are not applicable to foreign nationals with foreign qualifications, which have been recognized as equivalent to any Degree by the University of Delhi.
The admission of foreign nationals will be made through the Foreign Students Advisor, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007. No application from foreign nationals will be entertained directly.
Sri Lankan students seeking admission should apply through the High Commission of Sri Lanka in India.
An application for admission from any applicant from Pakistan shall be entertained only if his/her application has been duly forwarded and recommended by the Government of India.
An application from a foreign national shall be considered only if it is received by the Convenor, Admission Committee, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi latest by the date mentioned in the Prospectus.
Payment of Fees:
Fees and other dues as given below must be paid by the candidates selected for admission by the dates and in the manner prescribed by the Admission Committee, Faculty of Law. If a candidate fails to pay the fees by the prescribed date, his/her selection for admission will automatically stand cancelled and the vacancy so caused shall be filled up from the candidate next in order of merit. However, an extension for payment of fees may be allowed either generally or on the request of any candidate by an order in writing by the Convenor, Admission Committee, Faculty of Law subject to availability of seats.
If any student after taking admission to the First, Second or Third year of LL.B. course wishes to discontinue his/her studies, he/she must inform the Law Centre in writing immediately for the removal of his/her name from the roll, otherwise he/she will be required to pay the dues till the date his/her name is removed by the Centre for non-payment accured.
