Dear Learner,
I am glad to inform you that the 18th Convocation of the Indira Gandhi National Open University will be held in the last week of February/ 1st Week of March, 2007 at 3.00 p.m. The main function will be held at New Delhi for awarding gold medals, degrees and diplomas to the eligible candidates.
The University will also hold the Convocation simultaneously at its Regional Centres namely Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Agartala, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Guwahati, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Jabalpur, Karnal, Khanna, Kolkata, Koraput, Kohima, Lucknow, Patna, Pune, Raipur Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla and Srinagar through the teleconferencing mode.
You are one of the candidates eligible to receive the Degree/Diploma in this Convocation. The details of the programme of the Convocation would be communicated to you later. If you wish to attend the Convocation, please fill in the enclosed proforma and send it to us by 10th January, 2007 in the enclosed envelope only Applications received thereafter shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
You can also submit your consent online at the University website http://stuinfo.ignou.ac.in/conv18.asp upto 10th January 2007.
Please note that no TA/DA will be paid for attending the Convocation, and it will also not be possible for the University to make any arrangement for your stay.
