VC Dr Ram Phal Hooda says course aimed at improving job opportunities for students

Students of the Kurukshetra University region will have to be happy with the University deciding to introduce as many as 15 new courses that will be offered from the 2007-08 academic year.
The new courses includes Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Technology (MTech) in Image and Speech Processing, Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) in Pharmaceutical Science and Management, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Economics and Computer Science, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Service Management, Postgraduate Diploma in Fish Farming Technology, Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Science, Postgraduate Diploma in Floriculture and Postgraduate Diploma in Banking & Finance.
The Institute of Mass Communications that was recently setup will be offering three new courses - Postgraduate Diploma in Web Media, Postgraduate Diploma in Internet Journalism and Master of Science (MSc) - Electronic Media.
The University Vice Chancellor Dr. Ram Phal Hooda said that the courses had a focus towards job orientation and were introduced after the Departments have undertaken a study and market research on the courses.
