Himachal Pradesh University - Himachal Pradesh University to offer five-year integrated course in Tourism Administration

Gets necessary approval and grant from the UGC

The Institute of Vocational Studies, Department of Tourism Administration of the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has got a grant-in-aid of Rs. 39 lakhs for offering a five-year course on Tourism Administration.

Students who have completed their 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks can apply for the 3-year Bachelor course in tourism which will be followed by the 2-year postgraduate course entitled Master of Tourism Administration (MTA). UGC granted 25 seats as the in-take in the course per year. With this, the Himachal Pradesh University is all set to become the first university in the country to offer a 5-year integrated course in tourism administration.
