A meeting of the Academic Council which is presided by the University Vice-chancellor BG Mulimani has given affiliation to 22 BEd colleges for the year. The council also decided to cancel the affiliation granted to 9 colleges as per the recommendations of the local inquiry committee.

The council has also given a formal approval two colleges in the districts of Gulbarga and Bidar for the conduction of MPEd course.
