Sub: Admission of students to Ist Semester MA Post Afzal-Ul-Ulama in Arabic courses in affiliated Oriental/Arabic Colleges during 2007-08 – Schedule of admission procedure – dates intimated – regarding

The following schedule of dates is prescribed for strict compliance by the Principals of all affiliated Oriental/ Arabic Colleges in making admission to the first semester MA Post Afzal-Ul-Ulama degree courses in their colleges concerned during 2007-08.

The Admission shall be made only within the sanctioned strength

A. SCHEDULE

1. Date of Commencement of issuance of application forms for admission: 02.07.2007(Monday)

2. Last date of issuance of application forms and receipt of filled in applications in the Colleges: 17.07.2007(Tuesday)

3. Date of Publication of 1st list consisting of sure lists and supplementary list of candidates selected on the Notice Board of the College (A Copy of the above is to be sent to the Registrar, University of Calicut on the same day itself): 23.07.2007(Monday)

4. Last date for dispatch of interview card and chance card: 24.07.2007(Tuesday)

5. Date of Commencement of interview and admission of candidates: 02.08.2007(Tuesday)

6. Date of Publication of the Second lists of candidates in case the list mentioned at (3) above is exhausted: On the third day after the last date of interview

7. Date of dispatch of interview cards to the candidates in the second list: On the second day from the date of publication of the list

8. Date of Interview for the candidate under second list: On the Seventh day from the date of publication of the list

9. Date of admission and remittance of fee The same day on which the candidate is interviewed and selected for admission

10. Date of commencement of classes 08.08.2007(Wednesday)

11. Admission should be closed on 30.08.2007(Thursday)

B. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. The admission shall be made only within the sanctioned strength.

2. The rules for admission of the students issued from the University Should be strictly followed in making admissions

3. A Copy of the 1st list is to be sent to the Registrar, University of Calicut, by Registered post on 23.07.2007 itself.

4. A Copy of the 2nd list is to be sent to the Registrar, University of Calicut, by Registered post on the same day of the publication of the list.

5. A copy of the final list of admitted students should be sent to the University by Registered Post as soon as interview is over, and acknowledgement obtained. The failure to present such a list may result in the candidates inability to take University Examinations

6. Rules regarding reservation of seats for SC/ST and other eligible categories should be followed strictly. (Applicable to unaided colleges also)

7. Candidates qualified in the annual examination held during April-May 2007 or in an examination held prior to April 2007 alone are qualified for admission.

8. No Admission shall be made over and above the sanctioned strength in anticipation of sanction of the marginal increase or adjustment at the end of the year.

9. Application forms for admission shall not be issued beyond the last date fixed for issuance.
