M.Sc. (Computer Science) Admission Notification

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the admission to M.Sc. (Computer Science) Course for the academic year - 2007 under self-financing Scheme.

Eligibility for Admission :-

1. B.Sc. Degree with 50% marks in Part III with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science as one of the optional subjects (Excluding Languages)

2. BCA or B.Sc. Information Technology with 50% in aggregate.

3. SC/ST/OEC/OBC candidates will be eligible for relaxation in marks as per rule.

No. of Seats:-

24 Seats in each centres. SC/ST/OEC/OBC reservation are applicable as per government rules adopted by the University from time to time. A few seats are also reserved for foreign/NRI candidates.

Duration of Course :-

4 Semesters

Mode of Selection :-

On the basis of the marks secured at the Degree level.

Cost of Application : Rs.50/-

Mode of Remittence:- By DD drawn in favour of Finance Officer University of Calicut payable at State Bank of Travancore Calicut University Branch.

1) Chalan remitted under any of the following heads of account.
Treasuries in Malappuram District - 8443-00-106 PD Account of Calicut University.

2) Treasuries in other Districts - 8658-00-102-96(02) CUS.

3) FRIENDS within the territorial Jurisdiction of the University of Calicut.

4) Selected branches of State Bank of Travancore.

SOURCE OF RECEIPT AND SUBMISSION OF FILLED IN APPLICATION.

The centre in which the candidate wishes to Join. Completed application and admit card with attested copies of Mark List together with self addressed stamped (worth Rs.5/-) should reach the office of the Associate Co-Ordinator of the CCSIT, Calicut University Campus - on or before 19.07.2007.

Application for which the admission is desired should be clearly written on the top of the envelop. Application form can also be down loaded from the website and those who apply in the form down loaded from the website should enclose chalan/DD drawn in favour of Finance Officer University of Calicut for an amount of Rs.50/- along with the filled in application failing which it will summarily be rejected without any Notice. The application form can be obtained by post from the concerned centres sending a DD/Chalan for Rs.50/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer, University of Calicut along with a requisition and self addressed stamped cover. Candidates are instructed to write their name address and name of course on the reverse side of the DD/Chalan.
