Admission Information
There are two streams of admission: Regular and Open. Candidates seeking admission through the Regular stream should have minimum educational qualifications prescribed for admission by the University. Details of the entry requirements onto the various programmes can be found on the relevant programme entry in the database.
The Open stream started in 1987. No academic qualifications are required for entry through this mode; applicants should, however, be a minimum of 18 years of age. An entrance examination is conducted in order to gain admission. Only the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce are offered under the Liberalised Stream. of open BA/BCom.

Registration
The University operates a three term academic year: June-September, October-December, and January-March.
Students from Gulf countries are enrolled through approved agencies in the United Arab Emirates. Contact Director for details.

University Statistics
In 1998, 24,800 students were enrolled in the various programmes through the Regular and Open Stream. In the same year 12,000 students were enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce programmes through the Liberalised open stream. Another 11,400 had registered their names for the entrance examination that year. The total enrolment is over 24,800 for the 1998-99 academic year. Total entrollments in 2000: 23777
