INVITES APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE FOLLOWING COURSES STARTING JULY2008.

MBA (ENERGY) - A TWO YEAR POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME LEADING TO MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (ENERGY).
MBA (IT – NET) – A TWO YEAR POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME LEADING TO MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (IT – NETWORKING).
MBA(MFG) – A TWO YEAR POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME LEADING TO MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MANUFACTURING).

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBA (ENERGY)

BE / B. TECH in Electrical or Mechanical Branch of Engineering.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBA (IT – NET)

Graduation in any branch of Engineering Technology or MCA. Candidates with BSc / MSc in physical sciences will also be considered for admission provided they undertake a one year bridge course in the relevant area, to be offered by LMT School of Management, to enhance the students’ capability to the level required for going through the MBA programme.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MBA (MFG)

Graduation in any branch of Engineering / Technology. Candidates with B. Sc / MSc in physical science will also be considered for admission provided they undertake a one year bridge course in the relevant area to be offered by LMT school of Management, to enhance the students capability to the level required for going through the MBA programme.

Candidates appearing for the final Bachelor’s examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply provided they complete all their graduating requirements including practical examination / assignments before June 30 of the proposed year of admission. Their admission will, however, be considered provisional until they produce their marksheet satisfying the eligibility criterion. The time limit for submitting the graduating marksheet is December 31 of the year of proposed admission.

METHOD OF SELECTION

Candidates appearing for any of the nationally recognized entrance tests for Management Education like CAT, MAT, XAT, JMET etc. will be considered for admission through GD and Personal Interview. The candidates who did not take any of these tests will be required to take a formal test to be conducted by LMT School of Management, Thapar University at Patiala on 16th March 2008.

Candidates with work experience will be given due preference provided they show enough aptitude towards academic pursuit.

HOW TO APPLY

The candidates can secure the application form cum Information brochure from Asst Registrar (Academic) Thapar University Patiala on payment of Rs.1000/- by a crossed DD in favour of Registrar, Thapar University, Patiala. Application forms can also be downloaded from the university website. Separate application is to be submitted along with fees for separate courses to exercise more than one option if the candidate wants.
