Bachelor's degree in any of the following as one of the major subjects:
Applied Science / Animal Science / Biochemistry / Biology / Botany / Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology / Physical Sciences / Mathematics / Statistics / Veterinary Sciences / Agricultural Sciences / Pharmacy / Microbiology / Food and Nutrition Sciences / Chemistry / Computer Science / Computer Applications (BCA) / Information Technology / Electronics / Environmental Science / Zoology / B.Tech. Biotechnology with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (a pass for candidates belonging to SC/ST) of any recognised university. A non-biology undergraduate student should have studied biology atleast at the +2 level.

Admissions are generally conducted all round the year through Personal Contact Program (PCP) Centers and Off-Campus Academic Study Centers.

Application forms

Applications forms can be downloaded from the University Website or can be had from PCP, Off-Campus Study Centers by payment of the prescribed fee. Applications can also be had by post by sending in a Demand Draft for the prescribed fee.

Applicable for candidates registering their name for any course for the first time in Bharathiar University.
i. Recognition Fees Rs.125.00 in case of candidates who have passed the H.Sc in Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
ii. Rs.325.00 if you have passed HSC from a Board in India other than that of Govt. of Tamil Nadu or in case of candidates who studied from a Board outside India or if holding a UG degree other than Bharathiar University.
In case you have qualified with HSC of Govt. of Tamil Nadu, add Rs.10/- per HSC marks certificate, as certificate verification fees levied by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
Candidates who have already studied in Bharathiar University need not pay Matriculation fee & Recognition fee.
