Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements

Candidates holding a minimum of 60% marks in any one of the following disciplines (including AMIE) are eligible to apply. Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Pertochemical Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Mode of Admission

Applicants for all the Post-Graduate courses, should send, alongwith the filled in application, a demand draft for Rs.100/- drawn in favour of "Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli" towards the entrance test fee which is not refundable. The applicant shall write his name, name of the course and application number on the back side of the demand draft. The date, time and other details of the entrance test will be intimated to eligible candidates by the concerned departments. Failure to attend the test will disqualify the candidate for admission. The Departments shall give 50% weightage for marks obtained in the first five semesters and 50% weightage for the entrance test. The admission shall be finalized on this basis, without taking into account the Sixth Semester marks. The admission card to be sent by the Head of the Department shall indicate that ‘the admission of the candidate is provisional and subject to his/her passing the final semester within a month after getting provisional admission’. Selection will be based purely on merit, subject to the Government of Tamil Nadu guidelines for communal reservation Selected Candidates will be informed.
