Girls outnumber boys in pass percentage

The CBSE Class X Examination 2007 results that were out showed an increasing trend in the pass percentage of the students. This year, the pass percentage is at 93.47% as against to 89.43% last year. Girls outnumbers boys in terms of pass candidates with girl students reporting 93.66% pass while 93.32% boys passed the exams.

The overall pass percentage in Tamil Nadu is 98.23%. 13,492 students appeared for the examinations from Tamil Nadu this year with 13,253 students coming out with success. No ranking was done this year. Students were told that only re-totalling of marks but not re-valuation can be done.
