B.Arch. (5 - Years) - Bachelor of Architecture

B.E. (4 Years) - Bachelor of Engineering
Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

B.Tech. (4 -Years) - Bachelor of Technology
Bio - Technology, Information Technology, Petrochemical Technology

Age: Should have completed 17 years as on 1st July 2009.

Application for Entrance Test

Applications can be obtained from the main University campus at Thanjavur or from the information centres (listed below) or can be downloaded from our website or from core banking service branch of Indian Overseas Bank. Application Fee: Rs. 750/- (For SC/ST candidates Rs. 500/-) in the form of crossed DD or IPO or IOB Challan drawn in favour of "The Registrar, PMU, Vallam, Thanjavur" payable at Vallam, Thanjavur.

Submission of filled in Applications

To be submitted to The Registrar, Periyar Maniammai University, Vallam Thanjavur - 613 403, Tamil Nadu along with the Application fee (if sending the downloaded application) and a self addressed stamped envelope of 27cm x 12cm size.

Examination Centres (Region wise)

In addition to the Centre at the Campus of PMU, the entrance test will be conducted in the following centres:

South: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Nagerkoil, Neyveli, Perambalur, Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Karaikidi, Vellore, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore, Cochin, Thiruvanandhapuram

North: Dehradun, Chandigarh, New Delhi, Lucknow

East: Kolkata, Bhubhaneshwar, Patna

West: Mumbai, Bhopal, Nagpur, Jaipur, Ahmedabad.

(Note: More centres may be added or some centres dropped as the case may be). The details of the actual centre for the test will be mentioned in the Hall Ticket, which will be sent to the individual candidate by post. Those who do not receive the Hall Tickets 7 days ahead of the test, can contact the Admissions Co-ordinator.

Test Details:- Duration: 2 hour; Language: English; Type: Objective (as per Model Question paper available in PMU website)

All candidates seeking admissions to the above programmes must write PMU Entrance Test 2009 (PMUET 2009)

Date of Entrance Test – 10.05.2009 Sunday (10 am to 12 noon)

Admissions to BArch (5 Year)

Eligibility: 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 or 10+3 Diploma or IB Diploma and 40% marks in NATA. Candidates seeking admissions to B.Arch should have taken only NATA examination. They have to submit their filled in application along with the NATA Score card, admission fee of Rs. 500/- and a DD and a self addressed stamped envelope of 27cm x 12cm size to The Registrar, Periyar Maniammai University, Vallam, Thanjavir-613403
