General Admission Information for UG Courses

All the candidates who have qualified with the following examinations are exempted from the production of eligibility certificate from Periyar University at the time of admission.
i) Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary course (+2) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
ii) Diplomas in various branches conducted by State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu (for candidates joining BE degree I year/II year course)
Candidates who have qualified with an examination other than the above shall be directed to produce ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE at the time of admission, which will be issued by this University. Such candidates shall be given a time of three working days to produce the Eligibility Certificate, since the University requires a minimum of two working days to issue an Eligibility Certificate. Candidates possessing any other qualification except those mentioned in above para shall not be admitted to any UG course without the Eligibility Certificate. Any such admission made by the college without the eligibility certificate will not be approved by the University and the University will not be responsible for any inconvenience caused to the Candidate.

Admission to Foreign Studuents

While admitting FOREIGN STUDENTS, the Principals are requested to verify whether the candidates holds a valid visa (students visa/provisional students visa) to study in the respective institution and an Eligibility Certificate issued by this University. The University will not take any responsibility on these admissions.
The Principals are requested to verify exclusively at the time of admission that the DATE OF BIRTH of the candidates entered in the Transfer Certificate and that in Mark Sheets are one and the same.
