A pass in the Higher Secondary Course (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to and fulfilling the following requirements: HSC / Equivalent - Academic Stream; Eligible subjects of Study in the Qualifying Examination: 1. Mathematics / Botany/ Biology as first subject; 2. Physics as second subject; 3. Chemistry as third subject; 4. One Elective as fourth subject; Subjects of study are grouped below: Set 1: Subject 1: Mathematics; Subject 2: Physics; Subject 3: Chemistry; Subject 4 (Elective Subject): Biology / Computer Science / Statistics / Biochemistry / Home Science; Set 2: Subject 1: Botany; Subject 2: Physics; Subject 3: Chemistry; Subject 4 (Elective Subject): Zoology; Set 3: Subject 1: Biology; Subject 2: Physics; Subject 3: Chemistry; Subject 4 (Elective Subject): Computer Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Nursing / Nutritional Dietetics

Admission Notification will appear in prominent newspapers and on the official website of the university generally during the month of May. The last date for submission of filled in application forms to the University will generally be the first week of June.

Age Limit
Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year.However, for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes there is no age limit.
Non Resident Indian (NRI) Quota
Five Seats are reserved for allotment under NRI quota. The minimum qualification for admission under this quota is as follows: 1. Age : 25 years; 2. Minimum marks : Pass in Qualifying Examination; 3. Fees payable : USD 2100/ Semester; 4. The candidate should be sponsored by Non Resident Indian (NRI), who is a close relative of the candidate.
