Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University - Admission to Ph.D. Programme in Law 2006

Applications are invited for Ph.D. Programme (Full-Time / Part-Time)

Duration:

Full-Time: 2 + 1 years and the maximum period shall be 5 years from the date of registration. There shall not be further extension of period.

Part-Time: 3 + 1 years and the maximum period shall be 6 years from the date of registration.

Eligibility:

Full-Time / Part-Time: An M.L. Degree with not less than 55% of marks from The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, the University of Madras or any other Post-Graduate Degree in Law recognized by this University as equivalent thereto, provided that a candidate shall not have less than 55% of Marks or B+ in the said Post-Graduate Degree in Law. M.L.Degree secured through Distance Education and Private Study mode, are not considered for admission in Ph.D. In Law. Those who have finished their Post-Graduate Degree in Law prior to 1991 shall have atleast a minimum of 50% marks in the said Post-Graduate Degree in Law.

Note: Applicant seeking for Part-Time Programme shall have published atleast two Research Papers in any reputed Law journal.

Prescribed Applications for registration can be obtained in person on payment of Rs. 400/- (Rupees Four hundred only) by way of Demand Draft, or by post on payment of Rs. 450/- (Rupees Four hundred and fifty only) by way of demand Draft. The Demand Draft shall be drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai'.

The filled in applications along with enclosures shall be sent to The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, 'Poompozhil', No.5, Greenways Road, Chennai - 600 028.

The Last date for receipt of duly filled in applications is 30.11.2006.
