The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University offers the following programmes through its Department of Distance Education as a Calendar year Programme.

B.A.L. Degree Course – Bachelor of Academic Level Laws

This Course, a Non-Practicing Course one, is intended to create legal awareness and to help a person to secure an employment in the various related fields.

Eligibility: An applicant shall be a Degree holder in any discipline including degree obtained through Correspondence Course / Open Mode of Study and also those who have obtained Master Degree under the Open University System.

Post Graduate Diploma Courses:

This Course is intended to create legal awareness is distinct fields of study, which will help person to improve the quality in a career that may be pursued

• Branch I: General Insurance Law and Practice (P.G.D.I.L. & P)
• Branch II: Business Laws (P.G.D.B.L)
• Branch III: Environmental Laws (P.G.D.E.L)
• Branch IV: Information Technology Laws (P.G.D.I.T.L)
• Branch V: Intellectual Property Laws (P.G.D.I.P.L)
• Branch VI: Labour Laws (P.G.D.L.L)
• Branch VII: Human Rights & Duties Education (P.G.D.H.R.& D.E.)

Eligibility: A Graduate in any discipline either discipline either of University of Madras or any other Universities accepted and offered. Besides this, any person who is undergoing 5 years (Regular) Degree Course in Law in any of the affiliated Law Colleges may also apply, but those students must have passed 3rd year of the 5 year (Regular) Law Degree Course and have become eligible to receive B.A. (Law) Degree from the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University.

Duration: 1 year (Non-Semester)

Certificate Course in Documentation:

This Course is a unique one and it has been designed to suit the needs of every one with a view to gaining knowledge in the matter of Registration of Documents.

Eligibility: Any person who has successfully completed the Higher Secondary Examinations [10+2 Examinations] conducted in the State of Tamil Nadu and any other Examination accepted as equivalent thereto Duration: 6 months (Non-Semester).

Application Forms and Information Bulletin can be obtained for the above courses on payment of prescribed fees from the Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Laws University "Poompozil", No.5, Greenways Road, Chennai – 600028. The Application Form, Registration Fees, etc., shall be payable only in the form of Demand Draft obtained from any Nationalized Bank in favour of 'The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University' and payable at Chennai.
